MUTOMO TOWN STREETS TURNED INTO DUMP SITES.

These photos of Mutomo town streets turned into dumpsite have raised health hazard alarm amongst the residents of Kitui South Headquarter town, Mutomo. 

The residents are complaining about which is believed to be neglectance from the county government and public health.

For the last 4 years, there have been no truck to collect these mountaining heaps of smelly garbage in the streets of the town, residents living in fear of transmitting dangerous diseases like cholera and malaria.

The area residents are still complaining how the garbage collectors from the county government have turned their door steps to dumpsite.

 After approaching one of the garbage collector, he explained to us how the county government have been neglecting their request to be given a lorry to transport the garbage to the right dumpsite which is believed to be some kilometres away from the town centre.

Mutomo town being the headquarter of Kitui South region, the residents are facing a very great challenge because there is only one public toilet which has never served them. It is believed that project is still on process since late 2019. Did Mutomo/Kibwea ward residents make a wrong choice 2017??
